I plan to be there along with 10,000 of my closest friends.

Ned Sublette by the way is the author of two excellent books - Cuba And Its Music and The World That made New Orleans.

The passages dealing with music in The World That Made New Orleans cover Louis Moreau Gottschalk, music by the Ursaline nuns, Baroque music's influence on Aaron Neville, the various strains of musical practice from the African diaspora that traveled (via slavery) to the U.S., Cuba, and Saint Domingue, etc etc etc. His book on Cuba is similarly dense and mind blowing :)

Ned also composed the classic Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other.
