If anyone can find it I am pretty sure Colbert made a reference to a La Monte Young piece a while back. I am thinking of one of the word pieces where a piano eats a bale of hay.

Stephen Colbert is obviously a fine judge of artistry. Phil was terrific, & seemed to be having a good time.

Cool stuff. I’ve always loved Colbert, but esp when he does his faux-backhanded-shoutouts to Ornette Coleman or Bartok. Or his ‘feud’ with Rain…before K-pop was even on the map in the US. Stuff no one else would ever know or mention. I must say I am a little (just a little) disappointed at how ‘un-Glassian’ the music Glass is playing. I was expecting some arpeggios. heh.
