The Kickstarter fundraising failed at just shy of $9000 of the $12000 needed. Of course, I was disappointed. Many colleagues came through with support, even those who could barely afford $2, but others simply ignored it, including personal emails on the topic. Only one honestly answered no. I have begun again, from scratch. Mid-fundraising we committed to the project and the opera will go on in the fall of 2011 in three venues.
