I have a lot of history organizing remote performances, etc. Anyway, for future reference, there are definitely ways in which a composition seminar could be effectively held with a remote master composer (or remote student composers, for that matter). (Last winter, experimental visual artist and opera director William Kentridge was the Regents’ Lecturer.)

At noon today, Berkeley’s ECO Ensemble will perform Mr. Furrer’s Percussion Quartet, prepared under Mr. Furrer.

On Sunday February 6 at 8 PM, also in Hertz Hall, the ECO Ensemble will perform a full length concert of works of graduate composition students, under the eyes and ears of Mr. Furrer.
