His own compsitons are also very enjoyable indeed!
And, by the way, the ABC published his “Undue Noise” in 2002. [ISBN 0-7333-1057-5] It’s a collection of essays, reviews, interviews and so on covering his opinions on Joni Mitchell, John Lennon, Shostakovich’s quartets and so on.
He has interviewed most living Australian composers as well as many overseas Jazz, Pop and Classical musicians, composers and so on when they visit Australia. He’s also travelled to pursue specific musicians and composers (his inteview with Ennio Morricone was particularly enlightening!).
It’ great to see Andrew get due coverage in Sequenza 21…
