Ridgewood, NJ – The critically-acclaimed Palisades Virtuosi presents Everything Five, a Gala chamber music concert celebrating the group’s fifth anniversary on Saturday, June 7 – 8:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Guest artist is Euphonium virtuoso Jason D. Ham. Other special surprise guest artists will appear that evening as well.

This fourth and final subscription concert of the 2007-08 Season features the World Premiere of the latest Virtuosi commissioned work, Matthew Halper’s Trio for flute, clarinet & piano. Dr. Halper is associate professor of music at Kean University. He is performed in many leading venues such as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Moores Opera House and live on Chicago Radio and Public Television. Every concert by the Palisades Virtuosi includes a work commissioned by the ensemble.

Other works on the concert are Aaron Grad’s lep•i•dop•ter•ol•o•gy for flute, clarinet and piano (The Virtuosi’s first commission – premiered on November 1, 2003), Richard Lane’s Sonata #5 for flute and piano, Alban Berg’s Opus 5 for clarinet and piano, Scriabin’s 2 Nocturnes, Opus 5 for solo piano and Bloch’s Concertino for flute, clarinet & piano. In addition, guest artist Jason D. Ham (http://www.jasondham.com/) performs Harlequin by British composer Philip Sparke.

Tickets for the June 7 concert are $20 and $15 for students and seniors. This also includes a special “meet the artists” reception after the concert.
