Argento will give its long-awaited U.S. premiere on February 6th at 8pm at Miller Theatre, New York. Georg Friedrich Haas’s in vain is a shocking, opulent, 24-member chamber orchestra work performed largely from memory in complete darkness. Fellow Austrian composer Bernhard Lang declared, “in vain sounds like no piece you’ve ever heard before, it is a complete enhancement of the senses.”

An encore performance takes place on February 9th at the Austrian Cultural Forum, Washington, DC.
