Judith Lang Zaimont’s Serenade for solo piano will be performed by Max Lifchitz as part of Feminine Touches/Toques Femeninos, Piano Music by Women Composers Fom the Americas, a concert presented by North/South Consonance on Sunday, April 18 – 3:00 PM at Christ and St. Stephen’s Church, 120 West 69th Street (between Broadway & Columbus) in Manhattan.

Serenade was written in 2006 and premiered by the composer in Berkeley, California in November of that year. The piece is recorded on the Prestidigitations: Contemporary Concert Rags by J. L. Zaimont CD on MSR Classics (MS 1238) and can be seen on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/user/jamesarts#p/f/3/68ylwgJCPiE.

Other composers on the April 18 concert are Alla Borzova, Jennifer Castellano, Elisenda Fabregas, Katherine Hoover, Faye-Ellen Silverman, Jacqueline Nova, Alla Pavlova, Alicia Terzian, Awilda Villarini and Margarita Zelenaia.
