Posted by s21concerts in Concert AnnouncementFrom Hilary Tann’s meditation on ancient Celtic texts to Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ extraordinary Piano Trio, inspired by the people, music, and beauty of the tiny Fair Isle in the remote Shetlands, we give you Chameleon’s own “Idea of North,” a journey through musical landscapes of solitude, spirit, nature and legend. The program also includes works by composers from Northern climes: Sibelius’ Four Pieces for cello and piano, Carl Nielsen’s Wind Quintet, and Edvard Grieg’s Sonata for violin and piano in c minor, Op. 45.
