JZMSRCDJudith Lang Zaimont’s Jupiter’s Moons for solo piano will be performed by Elizabeth Moak as part of her Faculty Artist Series concert on Sunday, January 27 – 2:00 PM at Marsh Auditorium on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi, 118 College Drive in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The event is sponsored by the University’s Music Department.

Jupiter’s Moons consists of six movements: I: The Moons swim in orbit, II: Europa, III: Leda, IV: Io, V: Ganymede and VI: Callisto.It was aMillennium commission from Focus on Piano Literature 2000 and was Premiered at Focus on Piano Literature 2000 at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. The piece is included in the comprehensive 2-CD set, Art Fire Soul – Piano Works of Judith Lang Zaimont, performed by Elizabeth Moak and issued by MSR Classics (MS1366).
