The New York Premiere of Lawrence Dillon’s What Happened for violin, viola, cello, and piano will be given by 20>>21 as part of the American Composers Alliance Composers Now! concert on Monday, February 18 – 7:30 PM at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street in New York, New York.

What Happened was commissioned and premiered by the Atlantic Ensemble at the Maison Danoise in Paris, France in May 2005. It consists of three movements – Gathering, Congregation and Scattering, and has been recorded by members of the Daedalus String Quartet and pianist Benjamin Hochman for the Bridge label. Lawrence DilLDPhoto1012Blon is Composer in Residence at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and has had recent commissions and performances by the Emerson String Quartet, the Mansfield (OH) Symphony, the Boise Philharmonic, the Salt Lake City Symphony, the Daedalus String Quartet, the University of Utah Philharmonia and the Idyllwild (CA) Symphony Orchestra.
