The critically-acclaimed Palisades Virtuosi presents PV: The Next Generation the first subscription concert of their 2013-2014 season on Saturday, October 12 – 8:00 PM at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The evening will also include a pre-concert composer and performer talk at 7:15.

October 12 concert repertoire celebrates the next generation of artists, and includes the World Premiere of the Palisades Virtuosi commissioned Trio (2013) by Michael Parsons, who in 2013, at age 16, received Young Composer awards from BMI and ASCAP for the piece.

Other works on the program are the PV commissioned Palisades Amusement by Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Moravec, Be Aware of Wonder by Aaron Grad (PV’s 1st commissioned composer), selections from Jeux des enfantes by Georges Bizet (arr. Webster) and Quintet for Piano and Winds by Rimsky-Korsakov.

Young guest artists will be Devon Tipp, bassoon and Kyra Sims, French horn, both from Montclair State University. The program will also include PV’s 7th Annual Young Artist Recognition Award winner from Westwood High School.
