Beth Anderson’s February Swale will be performed by the acclaimed Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble as part of their concert on Sunday, December 8 – 2:00 PM at Gold Coast Public Library, 50 Railroad Ave. in Glen Head, New York.
The composer writes about the work, “It is about walking in snow, waiting and yearning for Spring, having conversations, playing games, parties, church bells, the beauty of the quiet natural world, cabin-fever, anxiety, circular thoughts, and calm.” The piece was commissioned by Canta Libre and premiered by them in May of 2013 as part of Women’s Work 2013.
