The acclaimed Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble will be in concert on Sunday, February 2 – 2:00 PM at Cold Spring Harbor Library, 95 Harbor Road in Cold Spring Harbor, New York (seen above).

Repertoire for this event will include Between the Dark and the Daylight, revised specifically by composer Adrienne Albert for Canta Libre’s performance, Beth Anderson’s February Swale, commissioned in May of 2013 by Canta Libre, a harp quintet transcription by Jean Francaix of five Scarlatti sonatas, as well as music of Debussy and Eric Ewazen.

Performers will be Sally Shorrock, flute, Francisca Mendoza, violin, Veronica Salas, viola, Bernard Tamosaitis, cello and Karen Lindquist, harp. Canta Libre was founded in 2002 by flutist Sally Shorrock to foster the performance and enjoyment of musical literature specifically written for flute, harp and strings.
