Program description:
 
Dwett is the Maltese word for duet – a composition for 2 performers.
Featuring works for flute and cello, Laura Falzon (flute) and Andrey Tchekmazov (cello), perform a program framed by Baroque works that include Corelli’s Follia variations and JS Bach’s sonata in E. Villa Lobos’s work pays homage to Bach’s music, whilst Margarita Zelenaia’s “Byzantine Chants” gets its inspiration from Medeival Byzantine Chants. Other works on the program include Edgard Varese’s Density 21.5 and Reza Vali’s Folk Song Set No 9.
