Quintet of the Americas will present Tone and Color, a concert on Thursday, April 24 – 1:00 PM at Community Mediation Services, 89-64 163rd Street in Jamaica, Queens. There will be a pre-concert discussion about the music at 12:30 that day.
Quintet of the Americas, the woodwind quintet widely-known for its performances of music from Latin America, will perform Three Colors by Marcus Redden, Quintet by John Steinmetz (with references to medieval music), Goldfinch Variations by Douglaston-based composer James Cohn, Lejano azul (Distant Blue) by Luis Calvo, Tangos and more.

Members of the Quintet are Karla Moe, flute, Matt Sullivan, oboe, Nicholas Gallas, clarinet, Barbara Oldham, horn and Gina Cuffari, bassoon.
