Formed in the Spring of 2008, The Beaten Paths Percussion Duo is a New Jersey based group to the performance of today’s most cutting edge music. Presenting a diverse repertoire ranging from newly commissioned pieces to modern classics, improvisations, and multimedia collaborations, Beaten Baths relishes in it’s original programming, helping reshape today’s fast-paced contemporary music scene. In the fall of 2008, they collaborated with the Red Light New Music premiering works by Vincent Raikhel, Kyle Hillbrand, Scott Wollschleger, and new music icon Nils Vigeland. Beaten Paths has has performed at Tenri Cultural Institute, Monkeytown, The Player’s Theatre, and William Paterson University.

Beaten Paths is very excited to present this concert. All of the evenings works have been written explicitly for this concert by five of New York’s best composers. Beaten Paths will be joined by Nathan Koci (accordian and French horn), Taylor Levine (electric guitar), Megan Schubert (mezzo-soprano), Aaron Siegel (spoken voice) and Christa Van Alstine (bass clarinet). A portion of the evenings proceeds will be given to the Food Bank for New York City. Please join us for what will be a fantastic evening of music.
