TRANSIT presents an innovative Triple Bill Concert at Galapagos Art Space on Oct 14 featuring So Percussion, Tristan Perich, and Corps Exquis:

SO PERCUSSION has rightly won high praises for their tireless innovation and borderless virtuosity. In a set featuring brand new original music, the four fellows of So will prove once again that they continue to attract ‘both kinds of blue hair…elderly matron here, arty punk there’ (Boston Globe)

Fresh off the heels of his second successful Cantaloupe release, 1-Bit Symphony, TRISTAN PERICH presents a world premiere set of pieces composed for TRANSIT. Using an innovative system of digitized amplification, the intricately manicured levels of sound in this avant-chamber work highlight Tristan’s eloquent ingenuity.

CORPS EXQUIS is a new multimedia project between composer Daniel Wohl, 6 NYC-based video artists, and the TRANSIT collective. Using the exquisite corpse process, the artists work collaboratively to create a surreal multimedia world at the intersection of experimental chamber music, video installation, avant-garde film, and post-punk-avant-Baroque-pop rock.

This exciting show highlights the impossible richness of creativity in NYC’s new music scene. Not to be missed!
