Composer Sean Shepherd may still be working on his DMA (at Cornell, with Stucky and Sierra), but he’s already gotten performance opportunities aplenty with top flight groups. Last year, Oliver Knussen premiered his work Wanderlust with the Cleveland Orchestra. Next month, These Particular Circumstances will be premiered on the New York Philharmonic’s next installment of the CONTACT! New Music Series (April 16-17, Symphony Space).
