Tonight at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, flutist John McMurtery and pianist Ashlee Mack are giving a faculty recital filled with 20/21 concert music. Included on the program are works by Elliott Carter, Aaron Copland, Paul Hindemith, James Romig, and Lowell Liebermann.

McMurtery and Mack are also programming my duo For Milton (2011), which they recorded for Perspectives of New Music/Open Space Magazine’s Milton Babbitt: a Composers’ Memorial CD set.
