Tapes have been unassumingly encroaching their way onto the shelves of connoisseur collectors and music critics (no less than Steve Smith is a devotee): even record sellers such as Insound and Other Music have made room for them again. <description>Dear Fellow Music Blogger,

My name is Colin Eatock, and I’m a music critic, composer and blogger based in Toronto, Canada. (My own blog may be found at www.colineatock.com/eatock-daily-blog.html.)

About a month ago, I launched a new website called the Big List of Classical Music Blogs. (You’ll find it here: http://classical-music-blogs.weebly.com.) As the name suggests, it’s an extensive list of blogs and websites that offer news and opinion on classical music from around the world. When I launched the site, it had more than 300 links; today, there are more than 500. Yours is one of them.

I’m writing to you with two requests, which I hope you’ll consider:

1] If you have a blogroll on your own blog, I would be grateful if you would add a link to the BLCMB.

2] I would welcome any suggestions you might have about any blogs to include in the BLCMB that I may have missed. (You may contact me by clicking here: http://classical-music-blogs.weebly.com/contact.html.) I’m particularly interested in adding to my list of composer blogs – but suggestions for all categories are most welcome!

With best wishes for 2012,
Colin Eatock</description>
