Rob Smoughton’s steady gig is as the drummer for Hot Chip, but he records synth happy glitch-pop under the monicker Grovesnor as well. He’s just released a debut LP, Soft Return, on Lo Recordings. Here’s a video for “Dan,” the lead-off single.

Hot Chip’s new LP, One Life Stand, will be out February 9th on Astralwerks. It combines indie pop with a fulsome layer of motoric electronica.
