The ECM recording is very nice of Gyorgy and Martha Kurtag. I like some of Kurtag, but the Bach transcriptions are amazing.

Glad I wasn't wrong in my assessment that the ECM disc couldn't be much better than this one. I would like to hear the other Bach selections, though; I agree with you about the arrangement at the end. This Bach-Jatekok connection is really interesting to me; does anyone know of any work exploring the Bach/Kurtag connection?

This CD is fantastic. A professor of mine lent it to me; the Kurtags' duet at the end is supremely beautiful. The ECM disk is also terrific, but I'd plump for this one if I had to choose. Can't wait till all the Jatekok are released.
