I’m afraid I can’t be of much help, James. Here’s what happened: Danielle Belén was the Grand Prize Winner in the Sphinx competition. Part of the prize was a debut recording of music by an American composer on Naxos. She decided to record mine. I believe she had to run the decision by Naxos, but it was pretty much her decision. I’m not sure how a composer would approach Naxos directly.

Lawrence,
Could you please give me some information about the process of having one's music recorded by Naxos? Did you approach them or did they approach you? Can you give me the name of someone I might contact at Naxos? I have material which I feel would be very appropriate for a CD and knew about Naxos's many releases of American music. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
