Sean Hickey Premiere at Steinway Hall (NYC) Tonight

Tonight, violinist Yulia Sakharova will premiere Ampersand, a new work for violin and piano by Naxos composer Sean Hickey, at Steinway Hall (109 West 57th Street) in New York City at 7 pm. The piece was commissioned by violinist Ms. Sakharova with generous funding from the Musician’s Club of New York.

Naxos released Mr. Hickey's Billboard-charting Left at the Fork in the Road in November. Sound clips are on Sean's website, seanhickey.com and naxos.com. The Metro Chamber Orchestra performed Sagesse, one of the pieces on the disc, December 3rd at the Society for Ethical Culture in New York.

Tonight's recital is Sakharova’s New York debut and she will be performing works of Bach, Tchaikovsky and Richard Strauss as well. Admission is free.
