This week I addressed some of the things that I typically don’t do: harmony and repeat text. I found a haiku by Evelyn Lang and set out to attack those very points. Haiku are so short that I figured I’d have a hard time making it work without some repetition. And for harmony, I gave in to my baser instincts and initiated a “boom-chick” pattern and just went with it. I’ll sleep fine tonight, too.
Lied Time #4: perfect summer sky
What I like: It is pretty and I’m surprisingly okay with the chords. Not my usual stuff but nice.
What I don’t like: That my schedule is too busy for me to do more of these.
